On July 5, 2026, at about 1030 local time, a Schweizer SGS 2-33A glider, N5790S, registered to Lake Elsinore Soaring Club, sustained unknown damage when it struck a bystander on the ground during a landing attempt at Skylark Airport (CA89), Lake Elsinore, California. The pilot was not injured, but the person on the ground suffered serious injuries.
