- History of Flight:
On March 15, 2026, at about 0812 local time, a Cessna 177B Cardinal, N178DR, registered to H&H Trucking Inc, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at Cottonwood Airport (P52), Cottonwood, Arizona. The pilot was not injured. The local flight originated from P52 at 0759 LT.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft porpoised on landing and post flight inspection revealed damage to the fuselage." The NTSB is investigating the event as an accident.

- History of Flight:
On March 11, 2026, at about 1646 local time, a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, N7080T, registered to Kingdom Planes LLC, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Denton Enterprise Airport (DTO/KDTO), Denton, Texas. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The local flight was originating from KDTO.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft encountered a gust of wind and was tipped on its left wing during a run up." The NTSB is investigating the event as an accident. ADS-B data show that the airplane taxied from the ramp towards runway 36R and was in the run-up area before it disappeared from ADS-B coverage (see figure).

The winds were from 340° at 25 knots, gusting 34 knots.

- History of Flight:
On March 9, 2026, at about 1857 local time, a MBB BK 117C-2 (Eurocopter EC145), N103MT, registered to Med-Trans Corp and being operated by TriStar Health SkyLife, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Madison, Wisconsin. The pilot, two cabin crew, and one passenger were not injured. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 air medical flight, which originated from the St Clare's Hospital Heliport (WI88), Weston, Wisconsin, at 1808 LT, and was destined to Uw Hospital & Clinics Heliport (WS27), Madison, Wisconsin.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft encountered light turbulence over a lake while inbound to hospital heliport and post flight inspection revealed damage to the horizontal stablizer."

ADS-B data show that the helicopter was descending over Lake Mendata from an altitude of 2,000 ft, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. The NTSB Is investigating the event as an accident.

 History of Flight:
On March 1, 2026, at about 1725 local time, a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N972WW, registered to Chapel Hill Flying Club Inc dba, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Gilliam-McConnell Airfield (BQ1), Carthage, North Carolina. There were no injuries. The flight originated from the Raleigh Executive Jetport (TTA/KTTA), Sanford, North Carolina.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft right wing was damaged after contacting trees during takeoff."

BQ1 features a single runway 13/31 which is 2538 x 36 ft, given the ADS-B data, the airplane was most likely doing a touch and go on runway 31. Runway 31 features the following obstructions: 

57 ft. trees, 206 ft. from runway, 97 ft. left of centerline RWY 31 HAS 44 FT TREES 161 FT FM THLD OFFSET 80 FT RIGHT OF CNTRLN AND 46 FT TREES 0-200 FT FM THLD OFFSET 70 FT LEFT OF CNTRLN.

The NTSB is investigating the event as an accident.
