On July 20, 2026, at about 0800 local time, a privately-registered, float-equipped Rans S-6S Coyote II, N528MW, sustained substantial damage when it crashed during takeoff from Lake Seymour near Morgan, Vermont. The pilot was not injured.

The FAA reported that the airplane crashed and became inverted in the water. The pilot reported to a local newspaper that the airplane suffered "malfunction" on takeoff, causing him to stall and crash back into the lake.
