Cessna 152, N69009, accident occurred on September 29, 2026, near Clow International Airport (1C5), Bolingbrook, Illinois

- History of Flight:
On September 29, 2026, at about 1828 local time, a Cessna 152, N69009, registered to JWA Flight School LLC, sustained substantial damage when it impacted terrain shortly after takeoff from Clow International Airport (1C5), Bolingbrook, Illinois. The two occupants suffered unknown injuries. The training flight was originating at the time.

The FAA reported that the airplane crashed under unknown circumstances shortly after take off. Preliminary ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed runway 18 and immediately entered a descending right hand turn as it reached 800 ft and a groundspeed of 62 knots. The airplane continued to descent and impacted terrain in the conclusion of the turn.

The airplane came to rest upright and nose down in a residential area about 1300 ft from the departure end of runway 18. All four corners were present at the accident site, and there was a small debris field leading to the main wreckage. The nose was aft crushed and impact damaged. The left wing was impact damaged and separated from the airframe. The right wing remained partially attached to the airframe. Both outer wings leading edges were impact damaged. The tail was impact damaged and separated from the airframe. Both main gear remained attached to the fuselage, but the nose gear was impact damaged and separated. The propeller hub was impact damaged and separated from the engine.

1C5 is a non-towered public airport and sits at an elevation of 674.9 ft. The airport features a single asphalt runway 18/36 which is 3360 x 75 ft.

- History of Flight:
On September 29, 2026, at about 1350 local time, a privately-registered Pitts S-1 Special, N292Y, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Madison, Georgia. The sole pilot onboard was seriously injured. The flight originated from Peachtree City Falcon Field (FFC/KFFC), 
Atlanta, Georgia, at 1317.

Preliminary ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed and climbed to a cruising altitude of 3,200 ft and the flight appeared uneventful. Towards the end of the track, the airplane started a -1000 feet per minute (fpm) descent. It eventually crashed in a field and struck power lines before coming to rest in a tree line. There was no post crash fire.

- History of Flight:
On September 30, 2026, at about 1315 local time, a privately-registered, float-equipped Glasair Sportsman 2+2, N360ET, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in a hard landing on Lake Ki near Lake Goodwin, Washington. The pilot was not injured. The flight originated from Arlington Municipal Airport (AWO/KAWO), 
Arlington, Washington, at 1310.

Preliminary ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed Arlington and climbed to an altitude of 800 ft. At 1313, the airplane reached a groundspeed of 88 knots before it initiated a descent from level altitude. The airplane entered two left turns and subsequently made an emergency landing on Lake Ki. During the landing sequence, the left float and outer left wing were both damaged. Both propeller blades remained attached to the propeller hub and showed little to no damage.

Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3, HI1127, accident occurred on September 30, 2026, at Winston Field (SNK/KSNK), Snyder, Texas

- History of Flight:
On September 30, 2026, at about 1409 local time, a Dominican Republic-registered Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3, HI1127, operated by Panorama Jets, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Winston Field (SNK/KSNK), Snyder, Texas. The two pilots and one passenger were not injured. The flight originated from McClellan Airfield (MCC/KMCC), 
Sacramento, California.

Preliminary ADS-B data shows the airplane descending through 3,000 ft on final approach to runway 35 with a groundspeed of 150 knots and an average rate of -1000 feet per minute (fpm). The data suggests the jet floated about halfway down the runway before it touched down. The jet eventually departed the departure end of the runway, crossed a road, and came to rest on its side in a wooded area north of the airport. There was no fire.

Winston Field is a non-towered public airport located 2 miles southwest of Snyder, Texas. The airport field elevation is 2430.3 ft. Runway 17/35 is asphalt/in good condition and 5599 x 100 ft.

At 1355, the winds were from 200° at 13 knots, gusting 18 knots. At 1415, the winds were from 210° at 13 knots, gusting 18 knots. The crosswind was calculated at 9 knots.
