Beechcraft A35 Bonanza, N577B, fatal accident occurred on October 7, 2025, near Beeville Municipal Airport (BEA/KBEA), Beeville, Texas

- History of Flight:
On October 7, 2025, at about 1223 local time, a privately-registered Beechcraft A35 Bonanza, N577B, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Beeville Municipal Airport (BEA/KBEA), Beeville, Texas. The sole pilot onboard was fatally injured.

According to flight-track history, the airplane departed Sinton Airport (T69), Sinton, Texas, earlier in the day at 1025 LT on a flight to Live Oak County Airport (8T6), George West, Texas. The airplane arrived at 1132 LT and then proceeded to Beeville.

According to preliminary Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) data (figure 1), the airplane arrived at KBEA at 1158 LT. At 1219:53, the airplane departed runway 12 and entered a climb to an altitude of 1,600 ft. At 1222:17, the airplane briefly descended to 1,550 ft, but 10 seconds later, it climbed back to 1,625 ft. 6 seconds later, at 1222:49, the airplane entered a descending left hand turn, which progressed into an out of control spiral until the end of the track. During this spiral, the airplane kept losing altitude while a notable increase in both groundspeed and average descent rate was noted. The last ADS-B data point was recorded at 1223:21, the airplane was at 325 ft, 194 knots groundspeed, and descending -4480 feet per minute (fpm).

- Pilot Information:
unknown at this point.

The registered owner (It is unknown if it was the accident pilot) holds a private pilot certificate, issued/updated on 5/26/2021, with a rating for airplane single-engine-land. The pilot's third class FAA medical was issued on January 2025. The pilot did not hold an instrument rating.

- Airplane Information:
The accident airplane, serial number D-1596, was manufactured in 1948. It was powered by a Continental Motors E185 engine.

- Wreckage and Impact Information:
The airplane was destroyed by impact forces.

- Airport Information:
Beeville Municipal Airport is a public airport located 3 miles southwest of Beeville, Texas. The airport field elevation was 272,8 ft. The airport features two runways, one asphalt runway 12/30 that is 4553 x 75 ft, and a turf runway 18/36 that is 2251 x 60 ft.

At 1155, the weather observation facility at KBEA recorded wind from 170° at 5 knots, 10 miles visibility, a scattered ceiling (SCT) at 3,000ft AGL, a broken ceiling (OVC) at 3,700ft AGL and 4,700ft AGL, temperature 31°C, dew point 20.1°C, and an altimeter setting of 30.03 inches of mercury.

At 1235, the weather observation facility at KBEA recorded wind from 150° at 13 knots, gusting 22 knots, 10 miles visibility, a scattered ceiling (SCT) at 2,500ft AGL, a scattered ceiling (SCT) at 3,100ft AGL, a broken ceiling (OVC) at 12,000ft AGL, temperature 27.7°C, dew point 20.4°C, and an altimeter setting of 30.03 inches of mercury.

- Low (20-40%) chance of showers and thunderstorms daily through Thursday,
  generally south of HWY-44, before drier air diminishes rain

A trough of low pressure currently located over the Yucatan
Peninsula is expected to emerge into the Bay of Campeche today,
producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
NHC currently has a 10% chance of tropical cyclone formation over
the 48 hours before moving inland over Mexico midweek. Meanwhile, a
mid-level ridge will be the more dominant influencing feature over
South Texas all the way into early next week. This setup will create
a distinct gradient of moisture between drier airmass around or
north of our CWA, and tropical moisture airmass over Deep South
Texas. Due to the close proximity of these disorganized showers and
storms over the north side of the surface low/trough, we`ll maintain
a low (20-40%) chance of showers and thunderstorms today through
Thursday, focused south of HWY-44. Friday into early next week will
be rain-free with the mid-level ridge holding strong overhead and
drier air filtering in. Highs will continue to range from the mid
80s along the islands to the mid 90s inland, whereas the usual lows
in the 70s will be able to drop into the 60s this upcoming weekend.

Due to very light winds and decreasing swell periods, there is less
confidence in water reaching the dunes today and tonight. P-ETSS
continues to show good agreement with tides reaching 2.0 ft MSL at
Aransas Pass, but we saw that this past afternoon and observed water
failing to reach the dunes. Nonetheless, we`ll have to continue to
keep a close eye on conditions. Confidence does increase once again
Wednesday into the latter half of this week as moderate to strong
northeasterly flow returns, enhancing the Ekman transport and likely
feeling the influence of the aforementioned surface low/trough
swells. I am especially concerned Thursday through Friday. In
addition to wave runup threats, dangerous swimming conditions will
likely be present at times with a moderate to high rip current risk.

Any MVFR conditions this morning should return to VFR by mid-
morning. Have PROB30s for possible showers at ALI/CRP/VCT with
reduced VSBYs in and around any showers/storms that develop.
Otherwise, expecting VFR conditions to prevail through the end of
the TAF period. Currently, guidance is suggesting a lesser chance
for fog overnight tonight so have left out of TAFs.

- History of Flight:
On October 6, 2025, at about 1513 local time, a Cessna 210B Centurion, N9627X, registered to W J Bolton Farms LLC out of Marked Tree, AR, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Parkin, Arkansas. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured. The personal cross-country flight originated from New Orleans-Lakefront Airport (NEW/KNEW), 
New Orleans, Louisiana, and was destined to Jonesboro Airport (JBR/KJBR), Jonesboro, Arkansas.

The occupants were returning to the area following a hunting trip to Louisiana. The local sheriff reported that the Memphis air traffic control facility called them after they lost contact with the Centurion. The sheriff "believes the airplane got lost in a storm."

According to preliminary Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) data (figure 1), at 1305 LT, the airplane KNEW and entered a climb to an inflight cruising altitude of 9,800 ft. The flight appeared uneventful. At about 1500:08, the airplane was at 160 knots groundspeed (GS) when it started a descent from its cruising altitude. At 1510:04, the airplane stopped the descent at 3,900 ft and decelerated to about 117 knots GS. At 1511:16, the airplane started a left hand turn, which progressed into an out of control spiral. At 1511:48, the airplane was at 3,300 ft, 123 knots GS, and descending 3700 feet per minute (fpm), a few seconds later, at 1511:55, the airplane was observed on a steep climb back to 3,600 ft. At 1512:06, after reaching 3,600 ft and 59 knots GS, the airplane began another descent. At 1512:36, the airplane was at 3,100 ft, 142 knots GS, when it entered a left hand climbing turn back to 3,300 ft. At 1512:51, the airplane began another descent. At 1513:03, the airplane stopped descending and entered another climb back to 3,400 ft. At 1513:19, the airplane was seen at 3,400 ft, with a reported groundspeed of 79 knots, and an average rate of +1000 feet per minute (fpm). The next 13 seconds of data were not recorded. At 1513:32, the airplane was observed at 2,800 ft, with a reported groundspeed of 140 knots, and an average rate of -3800 fpm. The last ADS-B data point was recorded at 1513:37, the airplane was seen at 2,400 ft, 128 knots GS, and -4000 fpm.

The pilot did not hold any official certificates. His second class FAA medical was issued on June 2025.

- Airplane Information:
The airplane was a Cessna 210B, serial number 21057927, was manufactured in 1962. The Cessna 210B is a single engine, high-wing, all-metal airplane of semimonocoque design. The Cessna 210B has a maximum seating capacity of six occupants.

The airplane was powered by a Continental IO-470-S engine. The propeller was a three-bladed McCauley. The airplane was equipped for IFR flight.

At 1534, the weather observation facility at KAWM recorded wind from 100° at 8 knots, 10 miles visibility, a scattered ceiling (SCT) at 1,700ft AGL, a broken layer (BKN) at 3,000ft AGL, and an overcast ceiling (OVC) at 4,800ft AGL, temperature 25.6°C, dew point 22.8°C, and an altimeter setting of 29.98 inches of mercury.

  into next weekend. Highs are expected to be in the mid 70s to
  the low 80s.

Rain has returned to the Mid-South today as a weak tropical low
traverses the region. Moisture advection last night associated
with this system has allowed for PWATs to climb to around 2",
which is above the 97th percentile for this time of year. Within
this theta e advection regime, widespread shower development has
occurred with multiple bands of heavier rainfall across the Mid-
South and down to the Gulf Coast. Upper air profiles will support
heavier bands of convection, especially into this afternoon as
MUCAPE increases. Rain rates of up to 2-3" per hour are possible
within these bands which could cause some localized flooding
concerns through this afternoon and into tonight as these rates
are on the cusp of RFC 1-hour flash flood guidance. The severe
threat will be quite limited thanks to weak effective shear values
and low DCAPE.

Rain will continue tonight, primarily along and north of I-40, as
this moist air mass remains throughout the region with ample
southerly theta e advection. Convective showers/bands should
decrease in coverage as MUCAPE falls overnight, but localized
heavy rain may still cause some minor flooding. By Tuesday
morning, a front will have developed and started moving east
throughout the region, bringing more shower development along with
it. 12z HREF guidance paints a large swath of QPF that follows the
front through Western Tennessee throughout Tuesday afternoon with
a diurnal uptick in convection. The front will continue through
the region overnight into Wednesday with scattered showers with
rain chances ceasing by 00z Thursday. When all is said and done,
areas along and north of I-40 will see anywhere from 2"-4" of rain
with locally higher amounts. Areas south will still receive up to
1"-2".

The rest of the forecast will see the upper pattern push the ridge
to our east back west into the Southwestern CONUS. This will allow
the jet stream to take a northwesterly orientation over the Mid-
South, keeping the cooler air behind the cold front across the
region. Therefore, starting Thursday, the forecast dries out with
highs in the mid to upper 70s across the majority of the area.
Additionally, drier air will allow for overnight lows to cool
into the mid to low 50s, with our northern tier of counties
potentially dropping into the 40s.

A tropical low moving across the Midsouth will result in MVFR or
lower cigs through the 24/30 hour TAF cycle. Removed the mention
of thunder at all sites, but confidence is not high that we will
not see any lightning in the area. East to southeast winds
4-8kts will prevail.

Cessna R172K Hawk XP, N7354V, accident occurred on October 5, 2025, at Herb Tautz Airport (LL07), Mount Carroll, Illinois

- History of Flight:
On October 5, 2025, at about 1038 local time, a Cessna R172K Hawk XP, N7354V, registered to King Daddy Aviation LLC out of Meridian, Mississippi, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident at Herb Tautz Airport (LL07), Mount Carroll, Illinois. 
The pilot sustained minor injuries, and passenger sustained serious injuries. The flight originated from Central Illinois Regional Airport (BMI/KBMI), Bloomington, Illinois, and was destined to LL07.

ADS-B data show the airplane on a descending base to final turn (coming from the west) for the runway at LL07.

LL07 features a single turf runway with no numbers assigned, but instead "East/West" and is 2400 x 80 ft . The airport field elevation was 853 ft.

The local sheriff reported that the pilot "was having trouble while landing in gusting wind." The airplane came to rest in a cornfield near the runway and was consumed by a post crash fire. The nearest reporting weather station at the time showed that the wind from 180° at 12 knots.
