- History of Flight:
On July 5, 2026, at about 1015 local time, a Cassutt Racer IIM, N45889, registered to Southern Aircraft Consultancy Inc Trustee, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident at Odessa-Schlemeyer Field (ODO/KODO), Odessa, Texas. The pilot suffered serious injuries.
The FAA reported that the airplane crashed just after takeoff due to engine issues.
