On October 19, 2026, at about 1022 local time, a Piper PA-28-181 Archer TX, N137ND, registered to the UND Aerospace Foundation, reportedly suffered a "ground loop (per FAA report)" and veered off runway 30R during landing at Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA/KIWA), Phoenix, Arizona. The two occupants onboard were not injured. The local training flight originated from Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA/KIWA), Phoenix, Arizona.
