- History of Flight:
On October 3, 2026, at about 1255 local time, a Cessna 172P Skyhawk, N3927, registered to Lani Lea Sky Tours LLC and being operated as a Part 91 local sightseeing flight, was not damaged when it was involved in an incident at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL/PHNL), Honolulu, Hawaii. The pilot and two passengers were not injured.
The FAA reported that the airplane experienced engine problems after departure from runway 4L and could not climb so pilot elected to land back on the runway veering into the grass striking runway lights.
