- History of Flight:
On August 13, 2026, at about 1130 local time, a Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee, N5685U, registered to the Tres Amigos Flying Club LLC, was not damaged following a forced landing on a road due to a loss of engine power near New Coalinga Municipal Airport (C80), Coalinga, California. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The flight originated from Harris Ranch Airport (3O8), Coalinga, California, and was destined to Santa Monica Airport (SMO/KSMO), Santa Monica, California.
There is no ADS-B data for the incident flight. The airplane landed on a road that has a set of powerlines running parallel to it on each side.
