- History of Flight:
On August 13, 2026, at about 1302 local time, a privately-registered Mooney M20G Statesman, N6916N, sustained substantial damage following a forced landing near Fentress, Texas. The pilot suffered minor injuries. The flight originated from David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport (DWH/KDWH), Houston, Texas, at 1158.

The FAA reported that the airplane experienced engine issues and crashed in an embankment near a highway. ADS-B data shows that the airplane was cruising at 3,600 ft when it initiated a descent and eventually landed on a road near Fentress, Texas.

On July 1, 2026, the airplane was involved in a landing incident at KDWH. In the brief summary given by the FAA, the airplane veered off runway 17R during landing and struck hold short runway identifier sign.
