- History of Flight:
On August 20, 2026, at about 1258 local time, a Cessna 421C Golden Eagle II, N28RH, registered to the National Airplane Sales & Leasing Corp out of Lima, Ohio, sustained substantial damage following a forced landing near Fulton Airport (1M7), Fulton, Kentucky. One occupant was seriously injured, and three others suffered minor injuries.
The flight had originated from Victoria Regional Airport (VCT/KVCT), Victoria, Texas, at 0847, and landed at Arkansas International Airport (BYH/KBYH), Blytheville, Arkansas, at 1150 for a fuel stop. At 1221, the airplane departed KBYH and had an intended destination of Lima Allen County Airport (AOH/KAOH), Lima, Ohio.
The FAA reported that the airplane experienced a loss of engine power and crashed in a field while trying to land at Fulton Airport
Online chatter suggests the airplane experienced a total loss of engine power in both engines shortly after the refueling at KBYH, and the likely cause was the airplane being misfueled with Jet-A.
Preliminary ADS-B data shows that the airplane climbed to 4,825 ft before initiating a descent at 1249, the airplane turned east towards Fulton, but ended up landing in a field.
The airplane came to rest upright and there was no post crash fire.
