Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser, N7524H, accident occurred on August 21, 2026, in Bemidji, Minnesota

- History of Flight:
On August 21, 2026, at about 1615 local time, a float-equipped, privately-registered Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser, N7524H, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident in Lake Bemidji in Bemidji, Minnesota. At least one of the two occupants suffered minor injuries.

The FAA reported that the airplane crashed into Lake Bemidji for unknown reasons and became inverted. Post-accident photos show the landing gear in the extended position. The NTSB is investigating.
