- History of Flight:
On July 18, 2026, at about 1530 local time, a privately-registered Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II, N8249B, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at San Bernardino International Airport (SBD/KSBD), San Bernardino, California. The pilot and passenger were not injured.
The FAA reported that the airplane's right main gear collapsed in the run up area. ADS-B data shows that the airplane arrived earlier in the day following a flight from KWHP. The airplane started taxiing from the ramp to the run-up area before the track stopped. The NTSB is investigating the event.
