- History of Flight:
On July 20, 2026, at about 1014 local time, a Grumman American AA-5A Cheetah, N76GC, sustained substantial damage following a runway overrun at Sullivan Lake State Airport (09S), Metaline Falls, Washington. The pilot was not injured. The personal flight originated from Arlington Municipal Airport (AWO/KAWO), Arlington, Washington, at 0759.
The FAA reported that the airplane "went off the end of the runway after landing." The NTSB is investigating.
The public airport sits at an elevation of 2614 ft. It features a single turf runway 16/34 that is 1765 x 100 ft.
