- History of Flight:
On July 20, 2026, at about 1523 local time, a privately-registered Cessna 182B Skylane, N2714G, sustained minor damage following a forced landing near Elkins, West Virginia. The pilot was not injured. The flight originated from Hatteras Airport (KHSE), Hatteras, North Carolina, at 1214, and was presumably destined to South Haven Area Regional Airport (KLWA), South Haven, Michigan.
The FAA reported that "Aircraft had a fuel issue and landed in a field but struck a road sign with left wingtip. Aircraft was refueled and temporary repair was performed and flown to Elkins."
