- History of Flight:
On June 21, 2026, at about 1045 local time, a privately-registered Belite CH-2A Chipper 2, N618SA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Alva Regional Airport (AVK/KAVK), Alva, Oklahoma. The pilot was not injured.

The FAA reported that the airplane struck a hole on t he runway during landing and suffered a gear collapse.

The airport features two runways, runway 18/36 which is concrete in good condition, 5001 x 75 ft, and runway 9/27 turf in fair condition, 1390 x 170 ft.

The FAA reported that the left wing struck a telephone pole causing the right wing to strike the ground. The NTSB is investigating.

- History of Flight:
On June 21, 2026, at about 1106 local time, a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N955JA, registered to Aero Equities LLC, sustained minor damage when it suffered a tailstrike during an intersection takeoff from 30R at Meadows Field Airport (BFL/KBFL), Bakersfield, California. There were no injuries.

ADS-B data shows that the airplane taxied from the ramp to the runway via taxiway D and started its takeoff roll. The airplane reached about 50 knots groundspeed before it aborted the takeoff.
