- History of Flight:
On August 9, 2026, at about 1233 local time, a Piper PA-28-181 Archer TX, N269MG, registered to the Georgia Aviation Authority and being operated by the Middle Georgia State College, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at Heart of Georgia Regional Airport (EZM/KEZM), Eastman, Georgia. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The local flight originated at 1228.
The FAA reported that the airplane was conducting touch and go(es) and struck the REILs (Runway End Identifier Lights) for the runway.
ADS-B data shows that the airplane landed on runway 2 and taxied back to the ramp.
EZM's runway 20 does feature REILs. The airplane continued operations out of the airport 2 days later.
