On September 18, 2026, at about 1712 local time, a privately-registered Cessna 182Q Skylane, N88JD, was destroyed when it overshot runway 33 while attempting to land and crashed in a wooded area at the Water Valley Municipal Airport (33M), Water Valley, Mississippi. The pilot was seriously injured.
33M is a public airport located 3 miles northwest of Water Valley, Mississippi. The airport field elevation is 269.9 ft. The airport features a single asphalt runway 15/33 that is 3000 x 50 ft.
