- History of Flight:
On December 19, 2025, at about 0918 local time, a privately-registered Alon A-2A Aircoupe, N818SW, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at Winter Haven's Gilbert Airport (GIF/KGIF), Winter Haven, Florida. The sole pilot onboard was not injured. The flight originated from Fort Myers-Page Field (FMY/KFMY), Fort Myers, Florida, at 0816 LT, and was destined to KFMY.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft landed hard and veered off runway striking a sign." ADS-B data show that the airplane was on final approach to runway 23.
