Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N38PD, incident occurred on May 2, 2026, at Linden Airport (LDJ/KLDJ), Linden, New Jersey

- History of Flight:
On May 2, 2026, at about 1535 local time, a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N38PD, registered to Richmond Pilots Corp, sustained unknown damage when it was involved incident at Linden Airport (LDJ/KLDJ), Linden, New Jersey. The pilot was not injured. The local flight originated from 
KLDJ.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft crashed into a sign on short final." and reported the pilot injuries as serious. However, local media reported that the airplane suffered a runway excursion on takeoff and the pilot was not injured. ADS-B data did not capture a takeoff attempt at the reported time of the incident. At 1535, the winds were from 320° at 6 knots, gusting 14 knots.
