- History of Flight:
On December 14, at about 0907 local time, a privately-registered Waco RNF, N110Y, and Cirrus SR20 G6, N506AV, registered to Westwind School of Aeronautics Phoenix LLC, doing business as United Aviate Academy, were involved in a ground collision during taxi operations at Phoenix-Deer Valley Airport (DVT/KDVT), Phoenix, Arizona. The sole pilot onboard the Waco and the pilot and passenger onboard the Cirrus were not injured. Botrh aircraft sustained unknown damage. The Waco was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 flight. The Cirrus was being operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 instructional flight.
According to the FAA, the Waco crashed into the rear of the Cirrus, and the time of the event was reported as 16:07:00Z. According to ADS-B data, the Cirrus landed at KDVT at 16:00Z and proceeded to the ramp via taxiway A6. The last ADS-B data point was recorded at 16:05:49Z. At about 17:35Z, the airplane was moved from the north ramp and across the runway towards the south area of the airport.
