- History of Flight:
On December 13, at about 1341 local time, a Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter, N865S, registered to B&H Equipment Rental LLC out of Missoula, Montana, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Dilley, Texas. The pilot sustained serious injuries, and passenger sustained minor injuries.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced a hard landing after takeoff in a field and came to rest on its side." ADS-B data shows that the helicopter departed from a field and climbed to about 25 ft before initiating a descent and disappearing from coverage.
