On September 14, 2026, at about 1455 local time, a de-registered Taylorcraft BC-12-D, N96888, sustained substantial damage when it crashed on take off due to high winds and not enough power near Nibbe, Montana. The pilot and passenger suffered serious injuries.
The NTSB is investigating.
