On September 2, 2026, about 2007 central daylight time, a Six Chuter SR7XL experimental light-sport powered parachute, N5617X, was involved in an accident near Amery, Wisconsin. The pilot was seriously injured. The powered parachute was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. 

The pilot was conducting a post maintenance test flight after he had just completed a condition inspection on the powered parachute. During the inspection he had changed several hoses. The pilot told a witness the engine just quit. The powered parachute impacted trees while attempting to land and the pilot was seriously injured. 

The powered parachute was recovered and retained for further investigation.
