Cessna 441 Conquest II, N441EC, accident occurred on January 31, 2026, at Austin Executive Airport (EDC/KEDC), Austin, Texas

- History of Flight:
On January 31, 2026, at about 1948 local time, a Cessna 441 Conquest II, N441EC, registered to Cowboy Aviation LLC out of Amarillo, TX, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Austin Executive Airport (EDC/KEDC), Austin, Texas. The pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries. The cross-country personal flight was originating from Austin, and was destined to Guymon Municipal Airport (GUY/KGUY), 
Guymon, Oklahoma.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft on takeoff roll, nose wheel blew apart, pilot attempted to abort takeoff and ended up past the departure end of the runway in a fence." ADS-B data indicates the airplane was departing runway 31. At 4500 ft down the runway, the airplane was going about 132 knots (groundspeed) when it aborted the takeoff. The airplane overrun the runway 12 seconds later going about 75 knots (groundspeed) before coming to rest upright.

Runway 13/31 is asphalt, 6025 x 100 ft.
