- History of Flight:
On January 30, 2026, at about 0930 local time, a privately-registered Adams A55S hot air balloon, N4010K, was not damaged when it was involved in an accident near Durango, Colorado. The pilot was not injured, and one person on the ground sustained serious injuries.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft was assisted by a by-stander who was injured," and reported that this person sustained serious injuries, which makes this event classified as an accident per the NTSB's definition.
