On October 27, 2026, at about 1806 local time, a privately-registered Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee D, N6401J, was not damaged when it experienced a total loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion and subsequent forced landing near Sonora, California. The sole pilot onboard was not injured. The personal flight originated from Cable Airport (CCB/KCCB), Upland, California, at 1532.
