On October 28, 2026, at about 1204 local time, a Cessna 182N Skylane, N442RA, registered to King Air Properties LLC, sustained substantial damage when it experienced a nose gear collapse during a landing attempt on runway 30 at Santa Maria Public Airport (SMX/KSMX), Santa Maria, California. The pilot was not injured. The local flight originated at 1130.
