- History of Flight:
On October 8, 2026, at about 2005 local time, a Piper PA-28-181 Archer III, N4147K, registered to the University of Illinois and being operated on a cross-country Part 91 training flight, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at St Louis Lambert International Airport (STK/KSTL), St Louis, Missouri. The flight instructor and student pilot were not injured. The flight originated from Willard University Airport (CMI/KCMI),
Champaign, Illinois, at 1828.

The FAA reported that the airplane landed and went off the end of the runway, striking runway lights. ADS-B data shows that the airplane landed on runway 11 and went off the departure end. It taxied to the ramp on its own about 2 minutes later, and departed on a flight to CMI 4 days later.

It appears that there was some active weather at the airport at the time of the incident.
