Cessna 150G, N3773J, accident occurred on July 9, 2026, near Wilson, Kansas

- History of Flight:
On July 9, 2026, at about 2035 local time, a Cessna 150G, N3773J, registered to Bertrand Aviation LLC, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Wilson, Kansas. The pilot was not injured.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft ran out of fuel and struck a power line while attempting to land in a field."

Preliminary Flightaware tracking history shows that the airplane was first observed near Moundridge, Kansas, flying south at an altitude of 5,700 ft. Around 32m later, the airplane was observed on a descent towards 1,800 ft near Wichita, Kansas, before it entered a climbing turn to the northwest. About 1h48m into the flight, the airplane entered a right turn to the east near Hays Regional Airport (KHYS), Hays, Kansas. About 2h30m into the flight, the airplane was last seen cruising at 3,600 ft over a highway before the track terminated north of Wilson, Kansas.

According to local police, the "43-year-old Texas pilot" ran out of fuel and crashed into a field.

According to the Cessna 150G POH, the (standard wing, 13 gal each) total usable fuel was 22.5 gallons.
