- History of Flight:
On March 30, 2026, at about 1818 local time, Piper PA-20 Pacer, N6996K, registration cancelled/not assigned, sustained unknown damage following an inflight fire in Pontiac, Michigan. The pilot suffered minor injuries.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft declared an emergency due to smoke in the cockpit, landed and post flight inspection revealed evidence of electrical fire in the lower area of the cockpit."
