- History of Flight:
On December 15, 2025, at about 1635 local time, a Cessna 172R Skyhawk, N240CT, registered to Coast Flight Training & Management Inc out of San Diego, California, and doing business as Coast Flight Training, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at the San Marcos Regional Airport (HYI/KHYI), Austin, Texas. The flight instructor and student pilot were not injured. The local training flight originated from KHYI.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced a blown tire on landing and incurred a prop strike." ADS-B data show that the airplane was landing on runway 8 at the time of the incident, and it was the 11th touch-and-go practice on the same runway.
