Cessna 172N Skyhawk, N1517E, and a Cessna 152, N65199, incident occurred on December 22, 2025, at Farmingdale-Republic Airport (FRG/KFRG), Farmingdale, New York

- History of Flight:
On December 22, 2025, at about 1422 (or 1222, see below) local time, a Cessna 172N Skyhawk, N1517E, registered to Heavy Metal Air LLC, and a Cessna 152, N65199, registered to Long Island Aviators LLC, both sustained unknown damage when they were involved in a ground collision at Farmingdale-Republic Airport (FRG/KFRG), Farmingdale, New York. There were no injuries.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft (N1517E) experienced loss of brakes while taxiing and struck N65199." The event time was reported as 1922 zulu (1422 LT). However, ADS-B data shows the Cessna 152 taxiing from the ramp to one of the taxiways at around 1718 zulu (1222 LT) before the track stopped (see figure). The last recorded flight for the 172 was a short local flight out of KFRG in July 2025.
