- History of Flight:
On September 4, 2026, at about 1201 local time, a Cessna 152, N5447L, registered to Pinnacle Aviation Services Inc, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at McClellan-Palomar Airport (CRQ/KCRQ), Carlsbad, California. The pilot was not injured. The flight originated from San Bernardino International Airport (SBD/KSBD), 
San Bernardino, California, at 1150.

The FAA reported that the airplane with a solo student pilot was returning from a cross-country flight and upon landing on runway 24, it porpoised and landed hard on the runway. A post flight inspection for a propeller strike revealed substantial damage to the lower engine truss. The NTSB is investigating the event as an accident.
