- History of Flight:
On July 16, 2026, at about 1902 local time, a Bell 206B JetRanger II, N297CA, registered to the Helicopter Service of Illinois LLC, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near St. Joseph, Illinois. The pilot suffered serious injuries. The helicopter was being operated on a local aerial application flight.
The FAA reported that the helicopter struck a power line and came to rest in a ditch.
