On May 11, 2026, at about 1742 local time, a Schweizer SGS 1-26E glider, N2582H, registered to Sky Soaring Inc, sustained unknown damage when it safely landed in a field due to "running out out of lift" in Somonauk Township, Illinois. The pilot was not injured.
