On April 16, 2026, at about 1511 local time, a privately-registered Van’s RV-8, N496EM, sustained unknown, but apparent substantial damage when it overrun runway 23 into a fence at Daniel Field (DNL/KDNL), Augusta, Georgia. The sole pilot onboard was not injured. The flight originated from Anderson Airport (AND/KAND), Anderson, South Carolina, at 1430.
