- History of Flight:
On February 28, 2026, at about 0815 local time, a privately-registered Cameron Z-77, N699DF, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident in Longview, Texas. The pilot and passenger were not injured.
The FAA reported: "A Balloon struck and became entangled in a guidewire at the top of a radio tower."
The local fire department reported that the balloon became stuck at a height of 920 feet. Climb operations began at 0850 LT, and rescuers reached the occupants at 1000 LT.
