History of Flight:
On February 22, 2026, at about 0940 local time, a Britten-Norman BN-2B-27 Islander, N865VL, registered to Vieques Air Link, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Antonio Rivera Rodríguez Airport (VQS/TJVQ), Isla De Vieques, Puerto Rico. The pilot and seven passengers were not injured. The on-demand Part 135 flight originated from Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport (CPX/TJCP), Isla de Culebra, Puerto Rico, at 0930 LT.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft veered off runway while landing and went into a drainage ditch, isla de culebra, pr." However, several ADS-B tracking sites show that the last flight the airplane conducted was to VQS.
