- History of Flight:
On December 30, 2025, at about 0930 local time, a Cirrus SR20 GTS G2, N506SR, registered to McKnight Aviation LLC out of Raleigh, NC, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Triangle North Executive Airport (LFN/KLHZ), Louisburg, North Carolina. The sole pilot onboard was not injured. The local flight originated from KLHZ at 0923 LT.
ADS-B data show that the airplane landed on runway 23. The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced a gust of wind on landing, veered off the runway into an embankment."
At 0915, the winds were reported from 300°at 5 knots. At 0935, the winds were reported from 280° at 9 knots, gusting 16 knots.
