- History of Flight:
On December 27, 2025, at about 1249 local time, Cessna 140, N89884, registered to Valiair LC Trustee out of Ogden, Utah, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Ceres, Virginia. The pilot sustained minor injuries, and passenger sustained serious injuries.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced engine issues on takeoff and landed in a field and struck a tree." On-scene photos show that both propellers remained straight and relatively undamaged despite colliding with a tree(s).
