On August 10, 2026, at about 1254 local time, a privately-registered Cessna 180 Skywagon, N180DT, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Daybreak Airport (WA46), LaCenter, Washington. The pilot and passenger were seriously injured. The flight originated from the airport at 1250.
The FAA reported that the airplane crashed under unknown circumstances. ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed and entered a climb to 2,200 ft and was flying south of the airport when it initiated a descending left hand turn back towards the airport. The airplane was unable to reach the runway and crashed inverted near the river. The NTSB is investigating.
