- History of Flight:
On May 5, 2026, at about 1130 local time, a Beechcraft B350C King Air, N67RF, registered to, and being operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), sustained substantial damage to the leading edge of the right horizontal stabilizer when it struck a flock of birds near Fairbanks, Alaska. The pilot and two passengers were not injured. The public-use flight originated from Fairbanks International Airport (FAI/PAFA), Fairbanks, Alaska.
The NTSB is investigating the event as an accident.
