- History of Flight:
On March 29, 2026, at about 1440 local, a privately-registered Enstrom F-28F Falcon, N942MA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at Oelwein Municipal Airport (OLZ/KOLZ), Oelwein, Iowa. The two pilots were not injured. The cross-country personal flight originated from Illinois Valley Regional Airport (KVYS), Peru, Illinois, at 1244 LT.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft was struck by gust of wind during hover taxi, which resulted in it striking the ground with the tailboom and skid."
At 1435 LT, the winds were from 170° at 18 knots. At 1355 LT and 1515 LT, the airport was reporting gusting winds of 23 knots.
