- History of Flight:
On January 27, 2026, at about 1325 local time, a Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II, N51467, registered to and being operated by Ascent Aviation Academy, sustained minor damage when it was involved in an incident at Van Nuys Airport (VNY/KVNY), Van Nuys, California. The sole pilot onboard was not injured. The local flight originated from KVNY.
The FAA reported: "Aircraft right main landing gear fell off on departure."
