Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N1369Q, incident occurred on January 9, 2026, at Dallas-Addison Airport (ADS/KADS), Dallas, Texas

- History of Flight:
On January 9, 2026, at about 1013 local time, a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, N1369Q, registered Ameriflyers of Texas Inc and being operated by American Flyers, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at Dallas-Addison Airport (ADS/KADS), Dallas, Texas. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The local flight originated from KADS at 0937 LT.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft landed long and came to rest in a field." Online chatter suggests the airplane suffered a stuck engine throttle. ADS-B data show the airplane on final approach to runway 34 with a reported groundspeed of 120 knots. The airplane landed, and continued about 5600 ft down the 7200 ft runway before the data stopped. The last ADS-B return showed a groundspeed of 99 knots. The airplane continued normal operations out of KADS about two days later.
