Beechcraft 35-A33 Debonair, N378Z, incident occurred on February 1, 2026, near Athens, Texas

- History of Flight:
On February 1, 2026, at about 1046 local time, a privately-registered Beechcraft 35-A33 Debonair, N378Z, sustained unknown damage in a forced landing near Athens, Texas. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The personal flight originated from the Cherokee County Airport (JSO/KJSO), 
Jacksonville, Texas, at 1024 LT, and was destined to an unknown location.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced engine issues and landed in a field." ADS-B data indicates the airplane was cruising at 4,000 ft when it entered a steady descent from that altitude (see figure).
