On November 13, 2025, at about 1434 local time, a Cirrus SR22 GTS G6 carbon, N79EM, registered to CWN Aviation LLC out of Spring, Texas, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Teague, Texas. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The flight originated from the Houston-David Wayne Hooks Airport (DWH/KDWH), Houston, Texas, and was destined to an unknown location.
Preliminary information indicates the airplane was cruising at 8,200 ft when it experienced engine issues (unknown if it was a failure/loss of power). The pilot deployed the airframe parachute (CAPS), and the airplane came to rest upright.
