- History of Flight:
On May 30, 2026, at about 1239 local time, a privately-registered Cessna 172 Skyhawk, N6717A, sustained unknown damage in a forced landing near Little Falls, Minnesota. The pilot was not injured. The training flight originated from Little Falls/Morrison County Airport (LXL/KLXL), Little Falls, Minnesota, at 0914.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft experienced engine issues, declared an emergency and landed in a soft boggy area and flipped over."

Flight-tracking history shows that the airplane was engaged in several short flights out of LXL in the days before the event (mostly pattern flying and touch-go... etc). The longest recorded flight since May 19 was 1 hour and 35 minutes long.

During the event flight, the airplane proceeded east for 2 hours before going north and conducting one touch-and-go at Carlton County Airport (KCOQ), Cloquet, Minnesota. The airplane then headed west back towards to LXL, but ended up landing near the airport.
