- History of Flight:
On August 2, 2026, at about 1115 local time, a Cessna 177B Cardinal, N34852, registered to Pride Electric Enterprises, sustained substantial damage in a forced landing near Lake Matthews, California. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The flight originated from Riverside Municipal Airport (RAL/KRAL), Riverside, California, at 1016.
Preliminary ADS-B data shows that the airplane departed Riverside and headed south where it proceeded to conduct several turning loops/orbits over farm fields/orchids. Towards the end of the track, the airplane entered a descending right hand turn and landed in one of the orchids. The nose gear collapsed.

Wow. I would have attempted to land in a nearby orchard since I'm not proficient enough to land on a single orchid. Truly amazing flying.
